NYC Design Tour 2010 - October 21-25, 2010
The Upstate’s innovative graphic design firm, Locke Design Omnimedia, created a not-for-profit tour of New York City to explore all things related to design and the arts. The tour is scheduled to depart from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and is scheduled for this October 21 – 25. It is open to local universities and the general community as part of Locke Design’s Community Education Initiative which strives to create community and global interest in design and help potential clients understand the need for designers.
The tour will consist of exploring six aspects of design: architectural, visual arts, theatre, fashion, graphic, landscape, and industrial design. Music, dining, and shopping will also be interspersed throughout the tour. A few of the sites seen includes the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), Broadway, Radio City Music Hall, and Parson’s New School for Design.
