The Locke Photography Process

Locke Design Omnimedia is your one-stop-shop for all your marketing needs. We offer in-house commercial photography services including portraiture, product photography, on location shoots, architectural photography and Photoshop and retouch services. Our design firm also offers environmental shoots anywhere from your business to your favorite location for a great back drop. Why create a great website and then have terrible staff photos? Why have a great catalog design but your products are not displayed properly? With Locke Design you don't have a reason! We offer commercial photography at a great value and fully integrate photography into our designs from print to advertising to web design and electronic media.

Step 1: Pre-planning

First we sit down with you and discuss the look for your photography and how it is to be used. Is this a product shoot for an e-commerce site, fashion shots for a new clothing line or head shots for your website. We discuss the tone for the photos, are they formal, casual, bright and cheery or dark and artistic, etc.

Step 2: Styling and Location

During our pre-planning we discuss the tone of the images and guide you as to your hair, makeup, clothing, jewelry, clothing changes and props. We discuss if this will be a studio shot or on location and the backdrop. We also discuss time of day and scheduling of the shoot.

Step 3: The Shoot

At the photo shoot our paramount concern is your comfort and the ease of the shoot for you. Locke Design's photographer and art director are present to direct the shoot, positioning lighting and equipment, posing, reviewing images with you as they are shot and make certain the shoot goes smoothly. You may also change clothing during your shoot to create differing looks and multiple setups can be offered to create a myriad of vignettes and light conditions.

Step 4: Proof Review

The images we shoot will be uploaded for your review to our website. You may choose up to five images as part of a standard head shot package to be retouched with Photoshop. Then a disk is provided to you after the images are approved with a bank of photographs for you to use. Photography use is unlimited for most jobs.

Step 5: Application of the Images

After the photo shoot is complete and images are selected Locke Design applies your photographs to your website, brochures and all of your printed pieces so that your collateral design is cohesive but most importantly it is custom and professional in appearance.
